岸和田市に建つ小さな住宅です。岸和田市は「だんじり祭り（岸和田祭り）」で全国的に有名な地域で、住い手はこのお祭りに熱心です。そして「だんじり祭り」がこの建築から見える事が強く要望されました。この要望から「だんじり」のコースが見える北側の2階部分は全てガラススクリーンで覆われたファサードとされ、年に一度の晴れの日を待つ設えとなりました。結果的に住い手の要望と敷地の特性が色濃く反映され、住宅建築の特異性が強く反映される事になった建築となりました。
