「苦楽園プロジェクト」は工務店を営むクライアントの自邸の計画案です。敷地は既に経営破たんしてしまったデベロッパーが、有名建築家を起用して展開していた高級建売住宅の区画内に位置し、周辺の建物は有名建築家による住宅群が軒を連ねるというロケーションです。計画は、大阪湾を見下ろせる絶好の眺望を最大限に生かすという常套手段を素直に具現化する事を最優先し、各諸室がその恩恵に与れるよう構成しました。ファサ－ドの構成も平面を素直に反映させる構成とし、周辺の建築群が作り出す風景を乱さぬよう、抑制を効かせた形態となるよう心がけました。
